Christina Hendricks

Christina Hendricks is an American actress who is best known for her role as Joan Holloway in the seven seasons of AMC's period drama series Mad Men (2007-2015). Her performance received praise from the critics in the series and received nominations for six Emmy awards under the category of best supporting actress. In the course of her 20-year career she also became known for her role in comedy and drama Another Period, a crime drama titled Tin Star. Her performances are noted in films such as Drive Ginger & Rosa Lost River and the Neon Demon, The Strangers : Prey at Night Egg, and American Woman. In addition, she has been the voice of animated series like From Up on Poppy Hill Toy Story 4 or Scoob! The first time she worked was as a model, and worked in the field for a number of years before she made her TV debut in Undressed. The first major role she played was in the drama comedy series Beggars and Choosers following which she also received appreciation for her role in the popular show Firefly. She was in 2010 voted one of the hottest women in the world and the best-looking woman within America by Esquire magazine.
