Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December, 1991. James is the father of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. The father of Manny James is Nigerian as is his mother, who is caucasian American. Following his graduation of Sanderson High School, in 2010, he attended Wake Forest University and obtained his Bachelor's in Economics. James was first known for his part as The Bachelorette's reality star. James was selected in the year 2020 to be the next bachelor on The Bachelor season 25, making him the debut African American male star. The series premiered later that year. James was the ideal candidate for the job, since he's rounded, tall and has good humor. Rachael Krakconnell was the one was his girlfriend to date for the rest of the season. The following year, in 2021, he was paired with the well-known dancer Arnold for season 30 Dancing with the Stars. James along with Arnold were ranked 12th.
